David Strand, a Green Party member – and possibly an official – from the 3rd Congressional District [1] is subscribed to the DFL Progressive Caucus list [2]. Members of another political party do not belong on the lists of an official DFL political club. I ask: how many other Green Party members – or non-Party members – are privy to DFL business? Is the DFL Progressive Caucus business discussion list as controlled as the one in question?
I also note with great concern that Jordan Kushner, who was a member of the Green Party in 2001 [3]; a speaker at the Green Party Winter Membership Workshop in 2005 [4]; represented members of the Green Party as Counsel in Lee v. City of Minneapolis [5] – appeared as a Delegate to the 5th CD DFL Convention [6]. He has now gone about his business. The infiltration of Mr. Kushner is serious enough: our Party must not have Green Party members or officials,  involved in DFL Party affairs.

[1] David Strand is listed as a contact for the Green Party’s 3rd Congressional District local on their website, with a telephone number an a Minnesota Green Party email address of DavidStrand@mngreens.org. Mr. Strand’s latest post is May 20, 2007 under his ID of “mncivil”, and joined the group October 20, 2005. He also appears to be active in the Lavender Greens, the Green Party equivalent of the DFL Stonewall Caucus.

It was nice meeting your at Tracy’s anti-Strib party. It is a nice rare treat to find someone in the DFL who is so intellligent in terms of sound debating, reasoning, and logical argument skills. And one who still clings to what once made the Democratic party a great party for the people, before it was co-opted largely by one world, leftist, Amrica bashers. Keep up the good fight.

Intelligence? How about learning the rules of our electoral system? There is no rule against changing parties. In fact state law prohibits excluding people from membership or participation in any recognized political party. Someone could be a Green one year, a Republican the next year, and a DFLer the year after that. Why would you object to someone switching from the Green Party to the DFL party? If you are really loyal to the DFL, don’t you want more members?

Furthermore, you obviously don’t understand the legal system either. Representing any person or group as an attorney specifically does not mean personal support for their actions or positions.

More on this blogger’s history of blatant ignorance, racisim and other intolerance if I get time.

  3. To change parties for the pupose of throwing an election is periously close to crossing – or possibly crossing over – the line into unethical behavior. No, Mr. Kushner, I do not want any more leftists in the DFL. We need more traditionalist blue collar Democrats, not Green Party or Anti-War Committee leftists.
I clearly understand the legal system. You chose to represent members of the Green Party, as you choose to be in the orbit of the National Lawyers’ Guild, and to associate with the anti-Israel left. You should accept that one could reasonably conclude that you are a leftist in view of your political history.
It will be quite entertaining for a member of the anti-Semitic left to lecture me on blatant ignorance, racism and other intolerance.
    If I have the time.

Certainly not someone like Strand who pulled this stunt in 2001:
